The Heartbreaker crank is Crust Bikes’ take on a compact double crankset featuring slender crank arms. We drew inspiration from classic Sugino-Ritchey Logic cranks, which are characterized by a slim profile and a pronounced offset. Thanks to this significant offset, a shorter bottom bracket spindle can be used compared to most other square-taper cranks. This is particularly advantageous for frames with wide chainstays—such as the Evasion or the Wombat (in a 1x setup)—as it keeps the chainline nice and narrow, promoting precise shifting and minimizing drivetrain wear. Additionally, the design creates a clean, seamless look by eliminating the need for an excessively long bottom bracket spindle.
The crankset comes with mounting bolts and crank caps featuring an integrated puller. Make sure to install the included plastic washer between the extractor cap and the bolt.
