The frame and fork are both made of high-quality GIANT Advanced SL Carbon, and the new SLR D-Fuse seatpost provides a slight bend (up to 7 mm) for better roadholding.
Technologies:
Advanced SL Composite Technology: This highest-grade carbon fiber is used to create an exclusive composite frame material, woven and processed in-house. Carbon nanotube (CNT) technology involves adding a microscopic polymer to GIANT's special resin blend. These CNT particles act as miniature support pillars, strengthening the composite layers. Frames treated with CNT are 14 times more impact-resistant than frames without CNT and are up to 100 g lighter.
Compact Road Design: Introduced by Giant in the 1990s with the professional team ONCE, the Compact Road Design revolutionized the look of high-performance racing bikes forever. A downward-sloping top tube creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It makes it easier for riders of all sizes to achieve the perfect fit.
D-Fuse Seatpost: The patented D-shaped composite seatpost dampens vibrations for a smooth, compliant ride.
OverDrive Aero: The D-shaped steerer tube and corresponding spacers are located in the head tube of the all-new Propel range, providing an extremely aerodynamic, easier-to-maintain system of internally routed brake and shift cables.
PowerCore: The PowerCore bottom bracket shell is another feature that contributes to Giant's high frame stiffness. The wide fit of the bottom bracket cups and the good connection around the MegaDrive down tube increase the frame's rigidity.
