Finally there is an alternative carbon rim for clincher tires in significantly higher quality and lower weight. The Goldsprint Ultimate carbon rim is an ultra-modern, super-finished full carbon rim with a modern, bulbous U-profile. It has an excellent price-performance ratio and is suitable for use on racing bikes, time trial bikes or fixed gear bikes.
As is usual with contemporary rims, the 23 mm wide rim has an increased width. This allows for improved tire support, bringing its properties closer to those of a tubular tire. This change helps to increase the stability of the wheel, reduce rolling resistance and provide a smoother transition between tire and rim. The resulting reduction in air resistance further contributes to improved overall performance.
The rims, manufactured according to EN standards, are manufactured using the UD construction method, which creates the characteristic look. The Ultimate rims are carefully crafted and are a pleasure to use even when laced. Upon request, we can also provide an even lighter version for tubular rims or rims with 3K or 12K carbon fibers.
