The UBB 4630 for the BB386EVO bearing standard in steel or ceramic, our newest member of the UBB family (Universal Bottom Bracket), uses a threaded sleeve to connect both bearing shells. This connection reduces stresses that usually act on the Press Fit sleeves. Dimensional tolerances of the bottom bracket shells can be compensated for, resulting in better parallelism of the bearings and therefore smoother crank movement and less noise. The better fit of the bearing/sleeve unit, protects the bearings from bearing overload and improves the longevity of the bearings. The inner sleeve also protects against cable damage or damage to electronics as there is no friction with rotating parts. The bearing is only compatible with ROTOR cranks.
