With just one gear lever, you no longer have to worry about the right gear combination. You can simply concentrate on driving and shift through the 11 gears intuitively. In combination with the APEX 1 11-42 cassette, the 1-fold drive is in no way inferior to a 2-fold drive with 11-28 cassette in terms of gear range. So even the steepest inclines are no problem with the Apex 1 group.
In order to lie perfectly in the hand, the shift / brake levers offer reach adjustment and optimized ergonomics for better finger reach. The 11-speed shift lever is equipped with SRAM's Double Tap shift system. With this switching logic, you can switch with just one lever with minimal effort and maximum convenience. With a light tap you shift into a higher gear, if the lever is pushed in further into an easier gear. Equipped with SRAM EXACT ACTUATION technology, the APEX 1 shift / brake lever shifts reliably and precisely. The 1: 1 ratio between the shifter and the rear derailleur makes it very easy to adjust the circuit.
