SimWorks has developed this CRISPER outer casing as an alternative to the tried-and-tested stainless steel outer casing. It is ideal for riders who value minimal shift throw loss – especially important with modern mechanical drivetrains with 11 or more gears. The internal construction consists of a thicker stainless steel spiral, making it significantly more rust-resistant than the steel casings from other manufacturers. The outer casing is available in a variety of attractive colors. It features a polyethylene inner lining that noticeably facilitates shifting.
The outer diameter is 4 mm, and you can use a 1.2 mm inner diameter. The included length of 3 m is more than sufficient for most bicycles with conventional mechanical front and rear brakes. The polyethylene inner lining contributes to smoother shifting.
